When I was a child, I saw this woman everyday in the summer when I sat at the kitchen table. Only in my peripheral, when I looked straight at her she was gone. She always stood calmly, watching me. She felt safe and comforting, even though she was a ghost. I wanted to be like her when I grew up, long dark hair, tall. I was quite short as a kid and blond. I wanted brown hair so badly...
And then I grew up. I'm tall and have long brown hair. I question whether all existence is really happening all at once. Was that me now, appearing to my younger self then to be a calming presence, as to say, everything will be okay.
